Maika Monroe (born Dillon Monroe Buckley, on May 29, 1993, in Santa Barbara, California) is an American film and television actress and professional surfer.
Early Life of Maika Monroe:
Maika Monroe was born in Santa Barbara, California. Her mother was an interpreter and her father worked in construction. Maika’s initial desire was to pursue a career in professional freestyle kitesurfing (kite surfer). Following in the footsteps of her father, she started the sport at the age of 13. She moved to the north coast of the Dominican Republic in her last year of school to train full time, while she completed her studies online.
From then on, her athletic career prospered and she was awarded second place in the Red Bull International Air Competition, and after that she became interested in acting.
